Today's trend toward an increasingly invasive American police state was predicted in 2000-2001 by a person calling himself John Titor who said he was a soldier on a mission from 2036. What really set Titor apart from typical Internet hoaxers however was the detail he revealed about his time travel machine, which many physicists think might work!
