Print 2.0 Experiment Brijit Goes Belly Up

Thu, 15 May 2008 00:24:16 PDT

Brijit offered 100 word summaries of the best long-form content in print, on television and most recently on sites like Digg, Techmeme and YouTube. Review writers were paid $5 per approved review and the angel funded company planned to sell ads targeting high-end periodical readers. I loved

Hefty Fee For the Privilege of Joining New Ticketek Club

Thu, 15 May 2008 00:27:51 PDT
So today I bit the bullet and forked out $95 to join Ticketek’s new Privilege Club. I must admit, with the price of concert tickets being what they are I wasn’t keen to shell out another hundred to join. Addio, Diabolik

Thu, 15 May 2008 00:31:26 PDT
I may have posted this photo here once before; it shows John Phillip Law, disc producer Kim Aubry and I at the recording session for the DANGER: DIABOLIK audio commentary back in 2004. And now the LA TIMES has reported John's death, two days ago, at the age of 70. I'm in shock. John and I met several times: I was a guest in his home, a passenger in his cluttered car; we went to the movies together, and were collaborators on a wonderful DVD commentary track (which I'm so grateful to have now
